Broken Arrow Excavating of Pleasant Dale recently began demolition work on buildings that suffered catastrophic damages when a roof collapsed on one of the buildings Oct. 14. The late afternoon collapse that day put the Clay County Emergency Management office in full swing, along with the Clay Center Fire Department, with assistance from the Sutton Fire Department. The collapse also called in Black Hills Energy to disconnect gas service to the northwest side of the Clay Center Downtown Square.
