Sandy Creek headed to Hebron for the Thayer Central Invitational with the boys coming in second place, as a team, behind the victors from Tri County as Tri County scored 148 total points, with the Cougars scoring 96 total points.
Many points for the Cougars came from the short races and relays with Sandy Creek scoring 62 of their 96 points in short races and relays.
Sandy Creek started out with 14 points from Ben Sullivan with a second- place finish in the 100-meter dash at 11.61 seconds, and Oliver Oglesby right behind him in third, with a time of 11.70 seconds. Winning the event was Ben Holsing of Tri County with a time of 11.37 seconds.
In the 200-meters, the Cougars would go first, second, and third with Owen Oglesby in first, with a time of 23.05 seconds, Oliver Oglesby placed second with a time of 23.88 seconds, while Sullivan finished third in 24.21 seconds racking up 24 points in this event.
Owen Oglesby would be the lone Cougar to score in the 400-meter dash placing first with a time of 51.65 seconds scoring 10 points.
Relay teams would walk away with 14 total points between the 400-meter relay and the 1600 meter-relay, Kaeden Schmidt, Oliver and Owen Ogelsby, and Sullivan made up the first place 400-me
