Harvard junior Micaiah Niemoth and senior Cody Fishler tallied a total of nine team points in action at the Sutton Invitational, held Tuesday, March 19 on the Sutton oval.
Niemoth came away from the meet with a pair of topsix finishes in the two long distance races.
His best finish was a third place run in the 3,200-meter run, where Niemoth ran the eight-lap race in a time of 13 minutes, 0.68 seconds.
A pair of Doniphan-Trumbull runners, Harrison Sjuts and Rylen Soundy finished in the top two, with Sjuts winning in a time of 12:04.48, while Soundy finished with a time of 12:15.86.
In the four-lap 1,600-meter run, Niemoth placed sixth overall with a time of 5;15.46. Jacob Zakrzewski, also of Doniphan-Trumbull captured gold in the race with a time of 4:54.43.
Fishler picked up two points in the pole vault, as the senior placed fifth overall with a vault of 9’ 6.” Centura’s Calvin Zimmerman gained the win in the event with a vault of 11’ 6.”
