After winning the SNC championship Sandy Creek had a tough task against a good Fillmore Central squad, and that night Fillmore Central proved they were the better team beating the Cougars 45-33.

After winning the SNC championship Sandy Creek had a tough task against a good Fillmore Central squad, and that night Fillmore Central proved they were the better team beating the Cougars 45-33.

Fillmore Central played a little more physical in the first couple of minutes and then Sandy Creek got going by hitting a couple three pointers and getting it inside and making some shots underneath.

Sandy Creek fell behind and just couldn’t get over the hump to take the lead against the Panthers. Cougars leading scorer for the night was Ethan Shaw as he had 14 points.

Sandy Creek had 30 total rebounds with 18 being defensive and 12 offensive, and the leading rebounder was Oliver Oglesby with 14. Oliver Oglesby had two of the four steals and three of the four blocks as well in the night to lead Sandy Creek.

Following a tough loss on Tuesday Cougars would bounce back with a win against the Superior Wildcats 65-41.

Sandy Creek came out ready to play after the loss and came out fast getting multiple layups and hitting some early three pointers.

Shaw lead the Cougars in points as he had 22 points shooting six of nine (67%) from three-point line. Sandy Creek had 38 total rebounds on the night with 28 on the defensive side and 10 on the offensive side, and leading rebounder for the Cougars was Oliver Oglesby with 10.

Kaeden Schmidt led the Cougars in steals with two and on the night, Sandy Creek had five. Schmidt also led the team in assists with seven and the team had 17 on the night.
