Tommy Lee White (Tom) of Cawker City, KS passed away Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024, at the age of 86. Tom was born Oct. 10, 1937, in Walsenburg, CO and lived in Riverton and Sutton, before settling in Cawker City. Tom was proceeded in death by his beloved mother, Violet Reams White, and father, Leroy White; eight brothers and sisters, Daniel, Jack, Violet, Beula, Gladis, Roy, Madge, and Hazel. Tom is survived by his five children, Debbie (Ron) Seifried of Colorado, Peggy White of Colorado, Steven White of Kansas, Micheal (Beverly) White of Idaho, and Tommy White of Nebraska; two stepchildren, Pam Woodard and Dennis White, both of Nebraska; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, a countless number of close nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Tom enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and watching football. He was a man of many grand adventures and great stories who will be missed by everyone who got the pleasure of knowing him.

“I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day. When it comes to my last cast, I then most humbly pray; when in the Lord’s great landing net and peacefully asleep, that in His mercy I be judged big enough to keep.”

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m.,Friday, Feb. 9, at Hutchins Funeral Home in Franklin. Burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made directly to the Hutchins Funeral Home in Franklin for funeral and travel expenses.

Hutchins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
