Get ready to laugh, converse, and have fun with the Sutton Stampede Boosters Club, and the staff and students that the recently formed club is aiming to lend a financial hand to, when the organization hosts its first-ever night of entertainment on Saturday, March 16, at the Sutton Community Center.
Plans for the event aren’t fully set in stone, but members of the booster club’s board of directors are ready to start selling tables and individual tickets for the upcoming event.
What’s for dinner you may ask? A nice, fresh hearty ribeye steak, prepared by the boosters, with all the sides being prepared by the Sutton FFA Chapter and the Sutton FFA Alumni chapter.
Entertainment will be priceless for the event, as the boosters have lined up Davenport native Gayle Becwar to entertain the crowd following the meal.
Becwar, who has entertained during previous Sutton events, has performed in front of thousands of companies all over the world, with his unique brand of clean, interactive, fast-paced magic and comedy. The Associated Press has said of Becwar: “He’s more than just a magician, Gayle Becwar is a complete entertainer.” The fundraising event will also include several kinds of trips that will be auctioned off, as well as a large variety of Husker Memorabilia that will be up for auction.
Those who wish to purchase a table of eight, or even an individual ticket for the event, can contact any board member of the booster club, which include: Jeremy Robinson, Jeremy McCroden, Jolene Griess, Jamie Rapp, and Doug George.
You can also email the organization at: stampedeboostersclub@ gmail.com.
Tables of eight are selling for $350 per table, while individual tickets for the fundraiser can be purchased for $50 each.
There will be a limit of 24 tables for the event, so you’ll want to get in on the action early to reserve your table.
All proceeds from this event will go toward activities and extracurricular groups, as well as sports teams at Sutton Public Schools. Stay tuned for additional information as it becomes available.
