Sutton’s Shae Eggers placed fourth in Serious Prose during the Class C2 State Speech competition March 27.
Hosted at Kearney High School, students performed three rounds before waiting to see if they made finals.
Also performing at state, but not making a place in finals, were Sutton’s Myles Ferguson (Humorous Prose), Lindsey Ladehoff (Informative Speaking), and Aidan Jones (Extemporaneous Speaking), as well as Sandy Creek’s Tripp Bracco (Extemporaneous Speaking) and Hadley Borer (Persuasive Speaking).
