Sutton course officially opens for play for the 2025 season on Sunday
Members of the board of directors held its annual meeting of the Fox Hollow Country Club, Sunday, March 9, in preparation for the start of the 2025 golf season at the Sutton course.
Board president Bryan Roemmich introduced new staff members for the 2025 season, announcing that Beth Stone will serve as the new general manager, while Jayme Halkyard was introduced to those attending the meeting as the new director of golf operations.
Course groundskeeper Ron Jergensen, announced that the course was officially opened for play this past Sunday, sharing that carts will be able to be used, but that they must stay on cart paths whenever possible, due to dry course conditions.
Halkyard shared that he and Stone plan to try some new events at the course this year, and that those new events will be announced through Fox Hollow’s social media outlets as they draw near.
Roemmich, in making the announcements of the addition of Stone and Halkyard to the course, also extended a hearty thank you to both Cheri Rolfes and Tom Newman for their years of service in managing the course clubhouse.
In addition, Roemmich also noted that construction on the addition to the clubhouse should get underway in the next few weeks, and that while it may cause a few minor headaches during the construction process, and with the golf season getting underway, that he hoped that the process would cause very little issues with the upcoming golf season and league play.
To close out the annual meeting, Roemmich asked for nominations for new board members, and shared that he, Tyler Keenan and Andrew Van Kirk were on the ballot for second three-year terms on the board, which inturn, were approved, so board members will remain as Roemmich, Keenan, Van Kirk, Tristan Sheridan, Lance Gemar, Colt Pope, Spencer Friesen and B.J. Smith this year.
Board officers will be elected during the April board meeting next month.
