Giltner ends Harvard boys basketball season

Giltner used runs of 26-12 and 30-12 to end Harvard’s basketball season during the opening-round D2-6 subdistrict game Monday, Feb. 24.

Eddy Perez led the boys in points with 10, sinking five of 17. As a team, Harvard was 9-44 (20%) from the floor.

Also adding points for Harvard were Ethyn Whetstine-Jones with six, Cohen Retuzel with five, and Damian Arista, three.

Whetstine-Jones and Arista made one three-pointer each, while at the free throw line, Whetstine-Jones made 3-6 (50%). Reutzel also had one shot from the foul line.

Rebound leaders proved to be Retuzel with eight, Whetstine-Jones with six, and Perez with five. As a team, the Cardinals had 25 rebounds—16 on defense and nine on offense.

Additionally, Harvard had seven assists and nine steals in the 56-24 loss.
