Sandy Creek senior Rowan Jarosik reached the pinnacle of the sport of wrestling in Nebraska, claiming the Class D 165-pound weight class state championship Saturday, Feb. 22. Jarosik is only the fifth state champion among a total of six state titles in school history. Jarosik was down 6-3 early in the third period to Graiden Ritner of Wilcox-Hildreth before turning Ritner on his back to gain a 4:13 pinfall win to earn the title and finish his senior season with a 42-1 record.
