Ethan Shaw selected to 67th Shrine Bowl

Ethan Shaw, the son of Brian and Julie Shaw of rural Fairfield, and a soon-tobe graduate of Sandy Creek High School will be the third member of his family to be selected to play in the annual Nebraska Shrine Bowl this summer, Saturday, June 7, at Ron and Carol Cope Stadium on the campus of the University of Nebraska in Kearney.

Shaw’s father, Brian, suited up for the game in 1995, while his older brother Josh, who is currently starting in the offensive line at Fort Hays State University, played in the game in 2022.

Shaw finished his illustrious, and storied career this past fall by helping his teammates win the Class D-1 state championship with a 44-42 win over Stanton, as the Cougars wrapped up a perfect 13-0 season.

During his career, Shaw passed for 6,113 total yards, while completing 357 of 620 passes. He rushed for another 3,795 yards on 562 carries, while making a total of 249 tackles as a four-year starter for the Cougars. Shaw will play for the South Squad during the game in Kearney.
