While it didn’t come in the way they expected, the Harvard Girls Basketball team earned its first win since 2021 Tuesday night against Giltner, as the Hornets forfeited.
The win shatters an 88game losing streak for the Cardinals, dating back to their last win, a 37-23 victory over Red Cloud Jan. 30, 2021.
Thus far in the 2024-25 season, Harvard has gained 312 points, averaging 17.3 points per game.
Harvard has two regularseason games left before heading into D2-5 Sub-District play.
Lawrence-Nelson will host the Cardinals Feb. 11, before Shelton comes to the Birdcage Feb. 14; tipoff is set for 6 p.m. both nights.
D2-5 subdistricts are set for Feb. 17-18 and 20; Lawrence-Nelson, Meridian, and Silver Lake are also in the district. The host school has yet to be determined.
