Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were greeted with heavy fog, frost, and cold temperatures. Dec. 24-25, fog left visibility at a quarter of a mile, with temperatures reaching an average of 33 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Hastings. The weather combination also left frost on the ground and plants in the area. Fog continued into Thursday and Friday morning.
