Sutton’s Chamber of Commerce recognized two businesses Friday morning with ribbon cutting ceremonies.

The Beauty Shop, owned by Carli Cloet and operated by Cloet and Megan Ehmen, is sharing a building with Born and Raised, owned and operated by Jeri George and Amanda Nunnenkamp, located at 223 N Saunders Ave Sutton.

Born and Raised had its first pop-up Nov. 23, and offers a variety of clothing and accessories for those in Sutton and the surrounding area.

Together, the two wanted to support the clothing and accessory needs of the women around them.

As stated on their website: “We believe that family always comes first which makes schedules busy and self-care can suffer, but we all feel better when we get caught looking cute, especially when we are feeling comfy.”

Their boutique is featured at the front of the shop and is open when The Beauty Shop is open; however, their items are always available to purchase online at bornandraisedne. com. After the new year, George said they plan to be open from 4-6 p.m. each Thursday. Cloet and Ehmen have been in business together since 2017, when Ehmen owned what was formerly Midtown Salon prior to a 2023 tornado that damaged their former building. After making their business work for the last year-and-a-half, they’re thankful to have their own space to rent and share.

Their shop is open Monday through Friday by appointment only. Currently, their books are full, something they are blessed about and feel thankful for the support.
