Dave Williams, the Funeral Director for Williams Funeral Home, was celebrated Dec. 11 at the Church of the Plains in Edgar.
Many folks were able to cherish the time well spent with Williams during the coffee hour and luncheon.
An extra special surprise for Williams during the luncheon was Santa stopping by for a visit, and also gifting Williams a pie—a favorite of his.
Williams, alongside his brother, Dayre, has served in Superior, Red Cloud, and Edgar for several years, having followed in their father’s footsteps in taking over the family company.
In recent years, Dave has been away for some time due to health reasons, but has missed being around people and enjoying their company.
Dave said some of his closest friendships have been from working through tragedies with people.
The people from the churches and families he has been alongside are what has kept Williams going all these years.
