Live auction set to begin at 6:30, with River Bottom Boys playing throughout the evening
The Sutton Community Home Foundation, together with the Sutton Community Home board, administration, and staff are currently setting final plans for their first-ever “Evening for the Home,” set for Friday, Dec. 6, at the Sutton American Legion beginning at 6 p.m.
The evening will be headlined by entertainment by the local band, “The River Bottom Boys,” with Dave Ehly, Steve Schroetlin, and Rod Niles playing in between live auction activities.
Sutton’s own Colt Pope will be the auctioneer on hand to auction off over 20 items.
The first round of the live auction will get underway at 6:30 p.m.
The evening will also include a silent auction going on throughout the evening, with silent auction bid winners being announced at 9 p.m.
LIVE AUCTION ITEMS Live auction items include, but aren’t limited to the following items:
• An Arctic Cat Alterra 4-wheeler, which will go on the auction block at 7:45 p.m., and has been donated by Ty Yost, owner of Sutton Irrigation;
• Pies made and donated by the Stockham “Pies R Us” Ladies;
• A homecooked German Dinner for six, donated by, and hosted by Paul and Belinda Nuss;
• A signed Husker volleyball, donated by Bruce Trautman;
• A quarter of beef, donated by DJ Althouse, LLC;
• A Blackstone Tabletop Grill, donated by Tabitha Hospice;
• A one day fishing excursion for three people at Glen Elder Reservoir, donated by Jeff Johnson of Lakeside Lodge in Glen Elder, KS;
• A prime rib roast, not roasted/prepared, donated by the Sutton Legion Club;
• A Husker gift basket, donated by arCuretecture of Lincoln, the project manager and architectural firm working on the current renovation and construction project;
• A Swamp Gear Cooler, donated by Mustang Media of Sutton;
• A C3 Remote Controlled Red Truck Cooler, donated by Paul and Belinda Nuss;
• Longaberger Baskets, donated by Wally Nuss;
• Golf for four, including cart rental at the Fox Hollow Golf Course, donated by the Fox Hollow Golf Course.
