Sutton High School graduates Cade Wiseman and Kate Griess, were tabbed by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2024 Daktronic Scholar-Athletes list for fall sports last week.
Wiseman and Griess were honored as selections to the NAIA honors list.
To receive the honor, a student-athlete must hold a 3.50 or better grade point average, be on the eligibility certificate for the sports, and have attended the institution for at least one full year.
Wiseman and his Doane Tiger football team finished the season with a 3-8 overall record and a 3-7 GPAC mark.
Griess and her Concordia University volleyball teammates enter the NAIA national tournament this week with an impressive 25-3 record.
The Bulldogs will take on No. 21 The Master’s University (Calif.) Wednesday, Dec. 4, and No. 13 Mount Vernon Nazarene University (Ohio) Friday, Dec. 6 as part of NAIA pool play.
