Harvard One Act earns TVC runner-up title

Sandy Creek, Sutton One Acts compete in SNC at Wilber-Clatonia

County One Acts competed in the TVC and SNC competition last week, Nov. 19, with Harvard hosting the TVC meet, and Sandy Creek and Sutton traveling to Wilber-Clatonia.

Harvard’s cast and crew earned runner- up honors with their one act, “The Twilight Cone.”

Additionally, Cohen Reutzel earned the Outstanding Male Actor award, with Micaiah Niemoth and Zoe Smith earning Honorable Mentions.

Blue Hill won the top spot as the TVC Champion one act team.

Sandy Creek’s Keaton Corman, Morgan Petr, Maddy Harris, Hunter Fhuere, Hadley Borer, Coen Eitzmann, Brooklyn Miller, and Zailey Spilker received Honorable Mentions for their performances.

Sutton’s One Act found themselves in a three-way tie for fifth place, and after looking at tie breaker points, Sutton earned seventh place overall.

Many students gained Honorable Mentions, including Myles Ferguson, Creighton Jones, Aidan Jones, Keith Kliewer, Lincoln Friesen, Adilynn Gimple, Elsa Andersen, Shepleigh Ohrt, and Chloe Bergen.

David City won the SNC Champion title, with Centennial earning runner- up.

Next up for the one act students is districts, with Sandy Creek and Sutton heading to Southern Valley on Dec. 2 for the C2-4 competition.

Harvard travels to Scribner Dec. 4 for the D2-1 competition.

The top school from each district will head to state, slated for Dec. 11-12, in Norfolk at the Johnny Carson Theatre.
