Superior, Fillmore Central end SC girls run in SNC tournament

The Cougars, after their big first-round victory over Sutton in the Southern Nebraska Conference volleyball tournament, fell in back-to-back games with straight-set losses to Superior, 25-12, 25-13, and Fillmore Central, 25-17, 25-21.

In the second-round loss to Superior, the Cougars had seven kills with Emma Fisher having four, Carrigan Rempe, two, and Morgan Petr, one.

From the serving line, Sandy Creek had two aces with Petr and Rempe both having one each.

Pohlmeier had five of the seven assists in the match, and Ava Hubl and Claire Williamson had one each.

The Cougars had 28 digs in the match with Williamson having nine, Hubl and Rempe, five, Fisher, four, Pohlmeier and Petr, two each, and Jenae Calderon, one.

Sandy Creek had four blocks on the night with Pohlmeier, Williamson, Calderon, and Kyler Hegemann all with one each.
