Clay Center resident Brenda C. Nolan, 74, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024, at Mary Lanning HealthCare in Hastings.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, at DeWitt Funeral Home, 604 S Burlington Ave., Hastings.

Brenda was born Oct. 9, 1949, in Whitewright, TX, the daughter of George and Elsie (Bloomstedt) Simmons. She grew up in Grand Island and attended Northwest High School. Her hobbies were her family. She lived for her kids and made sure that whatever her children wanted to do, like 4-H, show goats, horses, etc., they could do it, and she would support them and be their biggest fan! She also loved honeybees and helped support her husband in his beekeeping adventures.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ray Nolan of Clay Center; children, Taffy (Beau) Obier of White Mound, TX, Terry (Ronda) Nolan of Hastings, Tabby (Kyle) McReynolds of Edgar, and Mathew (Angie) Nolan of Rochester, MN; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sister, Kathy Suter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Jimmy Suter; and brother-in-law, Ebert Suter.
