Triple F Festival begins early Saturday, Aug. 17, with citywide garage sales beginning at 7 a.m., and going until 1 p.m. A map of the available garage sales can be found on the Fairfield Community Club’s Facebook page.
At 9 a.m., a craft show and bake sale will begin at the city auditorium and Legion, respectively.
There will be a kids parade at 9:30 a.m., followed by a sand volleyball tournament at 10 a.m., at the city park.
Kid and adult activities at the park start at 11 a.m. south of the city auditorium there will be a car show alongside the John Deere Museum, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
A fireman’s water fight at 2 p.m. will end the afternoon activities. From 9 p.m.-midnight, West Wind will play at a street dance.
Food options for the festival include: BREAKFAST
• Fundraiser for the Boy Scouts Troop 94 at 8 a.m., at the auditorium; and Rio’s Food Truck at 9 a.m., at the city park.
LUNCH
• The Auxiliary will be serving cold sandwiches/macaroni salad and chips from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Legion; Papa’s Smoke House Food Truck, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., at the park; and Special Scoops from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., also at the city park.
SUPPER
• The SC Fairfield Baseball program will be serving steak sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and water on Main Street at 5 p.m.; the Fairfield Opera House will have its regular menu starting at 5 p.m.; and the Trailhead Tavern will open at 4 p.m.—they will not be serving pizzas.
