Harvard resident, Kiele Kuleana Rae Leichleiter-Moe died in her home on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023. She was 55 days old.

Graveside services were conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2023, at the First Evangelical Cemetery near Harvard. Memorial services followed the graveside service at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2023, at the Federated Church in Sutton, with Rev. Mary Scott officiating. Visitation was Monday from 5- 8 p.m., at Sutton Memorial Chapel in Sutton. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be designated later. Kiele was born in Omaha, to Marcus Moe and Audra Leichleiter on Aug. 3, 2023, at 29 weeks, six days gestation, she lived most of her life in the NICU. Although her time on earth was brief, her memory will live on in her family’s hearts until they are together again. Her infectious smile and presence brightened up all of those who surrounded her. Kiele’s ‘Ohana is forever by her side, as it is said in the Hawaiian culture, ‘Ohana means family and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten.

Kiele is survived by her father and mother, Marcus and Audra; sisters, Kai and Kehlani; grandparents, Mika and Prenda (Velasco) Moe and Andrew and Donna (Johnson) Leichleiter; great-grandmothers, Adelaide (Kaluna) Velasco and Jeanne (Flickinger) Johnson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her two unborn siblings and her great-grandparents, Sooga Moeai and Mika Moe, Pedro “Pete” Velasco Jr.; Marvin Johnson; and Matthew and Alice (Adams) Leichleiter.
