In 1991, 60 acres of land on the north outskirts of Clay Center was bought in hopes of one ay transforming the pasture into a golf course. Along with a number of volunteers and about 20,000 donatedhours of labor, a clubhouse and golf course was constructed justwest of Highway 14.
